In Anderson Aviation Sales Co., Inc. v. Perez, 19 Ariz. App. 422, 429, 508 P.2d 87, 94 (1973), a wrongful death action, the plaintiff's attorney made an improper statement about the defendant and the strength of the defendant's case. The court interrupted, and admonished the jury to disregard the attorney's remarks. Id. At the close of the case, the trial court also gave "the stock instruction that arguments and comments of counsel are not to be considered as evidence in the case." Id.
