Arizona Lawyers Cooperation on Extension Requests

In Arizona, the lawyer's creed of professionalism provides that attorneys are to cooperate with each other on extension requests. See Ariz. R. Sup. Ct. 31 (A Lawyer's Creed of Professionalism of the State Bar of Arizona) (stating that, in litigation proceedings, the lawyer "will agree to reasonable requests for extensions of time or for waiver of procedural formalities when the legitimate interests of the client will not be adversely affected"). Further, in being admitted to the Arizona State Bar, lawyers swear an oath to "at all times faithfully and diligently adhere to the rules of professional responsibility and a lawyer's creed of professionalism of the State Bar of Arizona." Id. (The Oath of Admission to the Bar).
