In In re Sabino R., 198 Ariz. 424,4, 10 P.3d 1211, 1212 (App. 2000), a juvenile "was adjudicated delinquent for aggravated assault and underage consumption of alcohol." Id.1. During trial, the state failed to produce evidence that the juvenile was underage. Id.2. On appeal, this court took judicial notice of the fact that the juvenile was underage because "the juvenile court could have taken judicial notice of its files, which contain Sabino's birth-date, and thus have found him to be under age 21." Id.5.
