In Delos v. Farmers Insurance Group (1979) 93 Cal.App.3d 642, after describing the court's reduction of damages as inordinate because of what we held was its erroneous view of the law, the Court lamented it was indeed unfortunate that a more judicially efficient approach was not possible by merely sending the case back for reconsideration of punitive damages in light of our opinion.
