DiRosario v. Havens

In DiRosario v. Havens (1987) 196 Cal.App.3d 1224, the plaintiffs sued for the wrongful death of their minor daughter who was hit by a car while crossing the street. The jury awarded them approximately $2 million, but found the decedent 40 percent at fault. (Id. at p. 1228.) The court concluded the judgment was not, as a matter of law, so excessive as to warrant interfering with the finding of the jury. (Id. at pp. 1241-1242.)
