Hassanally v. Firestone

In Hassanally v. Firestone (1996) 51 Cal.App.4th 1241, the Court stated that untimeliness does not deprive the court of jurisdiction or otherwise become a basis "to impeach the decision" ultimately reached. [improper resubmission of matter by trial judge no basis to impeach or attack decision ultimately reached]. As Justice Epstein wrote for the court in Hassanally, even after the 90-day judicial deadline had expired, "the trial judge remained fully vested with authority to decide the case." ( Id. at p. 1245.)
