Hicks v. Clayton

In Hicks v. Clayton (1977) 67 Cal. App. 3d 251, the court held equitable relief was available to remedy the effects of a real property sale by a client to his attorney under a contract the court described as "patently, grossly unfair to the client." ( Id. at p. 263.) The burden of proof was not a contested issue in that case. ( Id. at p. 262.)
