In In re M.M. (2015) 236 Cal.App.4th 955, the mother's counsel invoked the mother's right under Penal Code section 2625, subdivision (d), to be present at the contested jurisdiction/disposition hearing at the outset of the proceedings. (Id. at p. 12.) "Yet the juvenile court elected to conduct the hearing in the mother's absence over her counsel's objection." (Ibid.)
