In re Marriage of Melton

In In re Marriage of Melton (1980) 107 Cal. App. 3d 559, a case involving a 24-year marriage in which both parties had physical disabilities where the trial court reduced the wife's support and ordered it terminated in 12 months. The appellate court found an abuse of discretion under Morrison: "This had been a lengthy marriage (24 years), and the record does not clearly indicate that wife will be able to meet her financial needs at the time selected by the trial court for termination of jurisdiction." ( In re Marriage of Melton, supra, 107 Cal. App. 3d at p. 566.)
