In re Maxwell

In In re Maxwell (1953) 117 Cal. App. 2d 156, the court upheld a declaration of abandonment where the parent made "no attempt to support or to communicate with the child" subsequent to the adjudication of wardship for a period of over three years. In Maxwell, supra, the court was able to uphold a finding the child had been "left" where the parent made no effort to communicate with the child for a period of three years.
