In In re Pedro (1989) 215 Cal. App. 3d 174, the Court found that assault with a deadly weapon was encompassed within Welfare and Institutions Code section 707, subdivision (b)(14). In In re Pedro, supra, 215 Cal. App. 3d 174, the Court had no need to consider whether an assault with a deadly weapon included the use of a weapon which is deadly as a matter of law since the case did not present that issue.
