Interdyne Co. v. SYS Computer Corp

In Interdyne Co. v. SYS Computer Corp. (1973) 31 Cal. App. 3d 508, a California corporation solicited an order from a New Jersey company to supply the New Jersey company with computer components. This contract resulted in other small orders. A year later the parties negotiated by letter and telephone a contract for a large order. The California corporation shipped the goods to New Jersey pursuant to the second contract and filed suit in California when the New Jersey company did not pay for the goods. ( Id. at pp. 509-510.) Interdyne concluded these facts were insufficient to permit California to exercise jurisdiction over the New Jersey business. ( Id. at p. 511.)
