Jach v. Edson

In Jach v. Edson (1967) 255 Cal. App. 2d 96, the trial court signed and filed an order granting a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict. (Id. at pp. 98-99.) The Court of Appeal held: "The order does not purport to be and is not a judgment"; further, an order granting a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict was nonappealable. (Ibid.)
