Kurokawa v. Blum

In Kurokawa v. Blum (1988) 199 Cal. App. 3d 976, the court found sanctions appropriate where the appellant cited strained authorities, discussed legal principles in a vacuum, and submitted inconsistent conclusions and/or evidentiary allegations, "cradled in opportunism to circumvent" the opposing party's clear basis of a defense. (Id. at p. 996.)
