Pacific Automobile Insurance Co. v. Wolff

In Pacific Automobile Insurance Co. v. Wolff (1977) 72 Cal. App. 3d 537, the court confirmed that section 673, subdivision (a) allows someone other than the insured to transfer the insured's right to cancel the policy. The appellant-insured argued that because he did not sign the agreement purporting to transfer the right of cancellation, the transfer was invalid. However, the court held that "673(a) does not require that the insured sign the Agreement. It may be executed on his behalf by another." (Id. at p. 541).
