People v. Camden

In People v. Camden (1976) 16 Cal.3d 808, the victim initially entered the car voluntarily but when she realized the defendant was not driving her home she protested and asked to be driven home or to be let out of the car. The defendant ignored her requests, stopped her from opening the door, and then used the continued movement of his car to prevent her from escaping. The court concluded this evidence supported the conclusion that although the initial entry was voluntary, threat or force was used to restrain the victim while being asported. (Ibid.)
