People v. Camilleri

In People v. Camilleri (1990) 220 Cal. App. 3d 1199, agents witnessed a known dealer leave his suspected supplier's house with approximately a kilogram of cocaine. (Camilleri, 220 Cal. App. 3d at pp. 1203-1204.) Shortly after police arrested the dealer with the cocaine, officers approached the supplier's house, knocked and saw two occupants make eye contact with them without any other response. (Id. at pp. 1204-1205.) This evidence, and a testifying officer's belief the supplier would be expecting prompt payment ($ 36,000) for the drugs, was held reasonable and established the presence of exigent circumstances. (Id. at p. 1210-1211.)
