People v. Frohner

In People v. Frohner (1976) 65 Cal. App. 3d 94, the defense was unable to call a police informant as a witness because the prosecution did not make reasonable efforts to keep track of the informant's whereabouts. The court concluded that under the circumstances, it was misleading for the prosecutor to suggest during closing argument that the defendant could have called the informant to support his entrapment defense if he had wanted the jury to hear that testimony.
