People v. Maltz

In People v. Maltz (1971) 14 Cal. App. 3d 381, the court found probable cause to arrest where "the officers observed defendant involved in two apparent exchanges in the same area within 40 minutes. . . . The officers had between them been involved in approximately 100 arrests in which they had almost invariably observed transactions substantially similar to those observed in the case at bench. They observed the buyer's nervous conduct. Moreover, with knowledge and experience that drug dealers often maintained a 'stash' at a short distance from the place of sale, they observed defendants return several times to the vicinity of the property at the corner of Glenneyre and Cleo Streets." ( Id. at p. 393.)
