Bowman v. Richardson

In Bowman v. Richardson, 176 Ga. App. 864 (338 SE2d 297) (1985), the plaintiff, while walking down a sidewalk on the defendant's property, observed water running down the sides of the path. The plaintiff fell when she stepped on a slick manhole cover, which was wet like the rest of the sidewalk. Bowman, 176 Ga. App. at 864. The Court affirmed summary judgment in favor of the property owner, holding that the plaintiff knew the area was wet and should have seen and avoided the slick manhole cover. Id.
