Hart v. State

In Hart v. State, 174 Ga. App. 134 (329 S.E.2d 178), an investigating officer testified that he received information from a confidential informant that the defendant "was selling cocaine out of the apartment that he lived in." The Court ruled that the testimony did not fall within any exception to the hearsay rule, improperly placed the defendant's character in issue, and was erroneously admitted to show the defendant's motive and intent.
