Case Involving Evidence of a Subsequent Accident

In Boersma v. Amoco Oil Co., 276 Ill. App. 3d 638, 213 Ill. Dec. 152, 658 N.E.2d 1173 (1995), the issue before the court was the admissibility of a subsequent catastrophic leak to the accident site. The court found that the defendant did not open the door to evidence of the subsequent accident because the plaintiff actually brought out the testimony about leaks at the accident site.
