Dismissal of a Claim for Interference With Prospective Business Relations

In Citylink Group, Ltd. v. Hyatt Corp., 313 Ill. App. 3d 829, 729 N.E.2d 869, 246 Ill. Dec. 218 (2000), the court held that the trial court properly dismissed the plaintiffs' claims for interference with prospective business relations because, contrary to the plaintiffs' contention that their complaint set forth a reasonable business expectancy with third parties, "the record showed that plaintiffs failed to, inter alia, allege that any other clearly identified group was 'contemplating prospective contractual arrangements' with plaintiffs."
