In Hoover v. Crippen, 151 Ill. App. 3d 864, 868, 503 N.E.2d 848, 105 Ill. Dec. 8 (1987), the defendant questioned the validity of an affidavit in support of a motion for a preliminary injunction. Hoover, 151 Ill. App. 3d at 868. In finding that the affidavit must be based on personal knowledge such that the affiant could competently testify at trial to the contents of the affidavit.
