L.P. v. Zehnder

In L.P. v. Zehnder, 312 Ill. App. 3d 35, 41, 726 N.E.2d 73, 78-79, 244 Ill. Dec. 477 (2000) the Court held that "while 'general jurisdiction,' for personal jurisdiction purposes, applies to suits neither arising out of nor related to a nonresident defendant's contacts with the forum, and is permitted only where the defendant has continuous and systematic general business contacts with the forum, 'specific jurisdiction' refers to personal jurisdiction in a suit arising out of or related to a defendant's contacts with the forum."
