People v. Mendoza

In People v. Mendoza, 234 Ill. App. 3d 826, 599 N.E.2d 1375, 175 Ill. Dec. 361 (1992), the Fifth District affirmed the denial of a motion to suppress where police stopped a car because it had "fuzzy dice and other items hanging from the rearview mirror." The trial court made no specific factual findings regarding the position of the items in relation to the driver, other than finding the arresting officer's testimony credible when she opined the driver had a materially obstructed view.
