People v. Bettistea

In People v. Bettistea, 173 Mich App 106, 116; 434 NW2d 138 (1988), the defendant testified on direct examination that a prosecution witness was a liar and the prosecutor cross-examined the defendant about whether the prosecution witness had lied in his testimony. The Court concluded that because the defense brought out the issue, the questions by the prosecutor were proper. Id.
