People v. Dalessandro

In People v. Dalessandro, 165 Mich App 569, 578-580; 419 NW2d 609 (1988), the Court remanded the case for a new trial, despite the defendant's failure to object to the prosecutorial misconduct at trial, because the prosecutor referred to the defense as a sham meant to mislead the jury. Id. at 578-579. However, defendant's reliance on this case is misplaced because the Court reasoned that reversal was required because the prosecutor attacked the veracity of defense counsel. Id. at 580.
