Boyle v. G. & K. Trucking Co

In Boyle v. G. & K. Trucking Co., 37 N.J. 104, 179 A.2d 514 (1962), the petitioner was a truck driver who lived in New Jersey. He was employed by a New York company; the nature of his route involved him driving through New Jersey on a regular basis. Although the parties disputed the frequency with which he was called upon to make stops within New Jersey, there was no dispute that he was required to drive through this state on a daily basis. While doing so, he was injured in an accident which occurred in New Jersey. Not surprisingly, the Supreme Court concluded that New Jersey had jurisdiction over his worker's compensation claim.
