In People v. Marrero (191 A.D.2d 289, 594 N.Y.S.2d 263), a defendant was convicted of endangering the welfare of a child and other offenses. On appeal, there was no challenge to the legal sufficiency of the evidence of endangering. How much weight that case can be given is therefore debatable. Nonetheless, when considering the number of unattended weapons, their accessibility to those in the household, their proximity to the ammunition, and defendant's own knowledge that someone had moved his guns, this court cannot conclude that the verdict was against the weight of the evidence.
