Frascarelli v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

In Frascarelli v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, (269 A.D.2d 422 [2nd Dept. 2000]) the Second Department upheld a past pain and suffered award of $225,000, and reduced a future pain and suffering award to $150,000, where the plaintiff sustained non-permanent bruises and a torn medial meniscus that was removed during arthroscopic surgery. The plaintiff's doctors opined that he could develop arthritis in the future due to the loss of the meniscus.
