K.J. v. K.K

In K.J. v. K.K., 23 Misc. 3d 754, 2009 WL 264117 [Family Ct., Orange Co.], it was alleged that a biological mother was stalking a child who had been adopted. The court held that the biological parent and the adopted child were related by consanguinity. However, even if they were not considered so related, the court held that adopted child and the biological mother have an "intimate relationship" where the adoptive child and the biological mother had contact on and off for many years and the child had, at one point, lived with her biological mother.
