In Matter of William O., et. al., 220 A.D.2d 842 (3d Dept., 1995), neglect was established where mother's mental illness had a direct impact on the emotional health of her children. Mother experienced frequent psychotic delusions involving satanic ritualistic sexual abuse of her two children by their father. The children, through their closeness to their mother, then began to experience these same delusions while in mother's custody. Once the children were removed from mother, their psychotic symptoms completely abated.
