In People Ex Rel Ortiz v. NYC, 93 N.Y.2d 959 (1999) the Court of Appeals held that 2 accusatory instruments containing both uncorroborated charges and charges corroborated by non-hearsay allegations, satisfied the requirements of an information for CPL 170.70 purposes. In the words of the Court, "each accusatory instrument satisfied the requirements of an information and from its inception could have been the basis for prosecution of a criminal action."
