People v. Valo

In People v. Valo, 92 AD2d 1004 (3d Dept. 1983), the court found that police were justified stopping and pursuing a fleeing defendant who they observed prior to the stop standing with two individuals in a dark and deserted alley. The officers had heard the sound of a burglar alarm a block away and observed a silver, chrome like object, that could be reasonably be interpreted as a burglars tool, in the defendant hand.
