Sieger v. Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, Inc

In Sieger v. Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, Inc., 1 A.D.3d 180 (1st Dep't 2003) which arose from a religious divorce proceeding, plaintiff challenged the Beth Din's procedures with respect to the application of religious law, as well as the methodology that the Beth Din used to reach conclusions concerning questions of religious doctrine. The court held that the First Amendment prohibited judicial review of the Beth Din's procedures and methodology.
