Liberty Finance Co. v. North Augusta Computer Store

In Liberty Finance Co. v. North Augusta Computer Store, 100 N.C. App. 279, 395 S.E.2d 709 (1990) the defendant alleged the trial court relied on incompetent evidence to support its findings. Id. at 283, 395 S.E.2d at 711. The Court determined since defendant had "not directed this Court in its brief to any particular place in the record which would support its position" it did not meet its burden of showing error on the trial court's part. Id. The Liberty Court also determined defendant's affidavit constituted competent evidence to support the trial court's findings in favor of asserting personal jurisdiction. Id. at 283-85, 395 S.E.2d at 712.
