State v. Jennings

In State v. Jennings, 333 N.C. 579, 603-04, 430 S.E.2d 188, 199-200 (1993), defense counsel questioned a police agent about defendant's silence after her arrest. On appeal, defendant argued the agent's testimony violated defendant's Fifth Amendment rights. The Supreme Court of North Carolina held any error was invited by the defendant since the agent's testimony was elicited by defense counsel.
