In Gallimore v. Children's Hosp. Med. Center (1993), 67 Ohio St.3d 244, 1993 Ohio 205, 617 N.E.2d 1052 the Court extended this concept: "a parent may recover damages, in a derivative action against a third-party tortfeasor who intentionally or negligently causes physical injury to the parent's minor child, for loss of filial consortium. The Court further found that 'services' are just one aspect of consortium. 'Consortium' includes services, society, companionship, comfort, love and solace". Id. at 251, 617 N.E.2d at 1057.
