State v. Francis

In State v. Francis (May 4, 1994), 9th Dist. No. 16351, 1994 Ohio App, the appellant was the victim's father who did not return her to her foster parents' home after a visitation. The victim was 17 years old. When she was found three weeks later, she had lost 25 pounds and had abrasions and bruises all over her body. She testified that her father provided her with crack cocaine and alcohol, even though he knew she was a recovering addict. While she was disoriented from the drugs, he raped her. After a few days of giving her cocaine, he threatened to withhold it from her if she refused to engage in prostitution. On one occasion, the appellant had a party and "collected money at the bedroom door while numerous men forced her to have sexual intercourse." Id.
