State v. Lohaus

In State v. Lohaus, 1st Dist. No. C-020444, 2003 Ohio 777, the court held that where a Terry stop is justified, it is within the purview of an officer's lawful duties. The court held that where an officer attempts to make a Terry stop, a defendant's refusal to stop, which forces the officer to physically restrain him, constitutes obstructing official business. For this additional reason, the officers were authorized to arrest appellant for obstructing official business.
