Thomas v. Zoning Hearing Board of Benner Township

In Thomas v. Zoning Hearing Board of Benner Township, 121 Pa. Commw. 393, 550 A.2d 1045, 1047 (Pa. Cmwlth. 1988), our court reversed the ZHB's ruling that a stable for horses for the landowner's personal use was not accessory to residential use and held that the ZHB had focused too narrowly on whether the use existed within landowner's residential development rather than looking to the rural, agricultural or suburban nature of larger community.
