Dawson v. State

In Dawson v. State, 812 S.W.2d 635, 636 (Tex. App.--Houston 14th Dist. 1991, pet ref'd), officers approached Dawson and asked where they could get a twenty-dollar "rock" of cocaine. 812 S.W.2d at 636. Dawson led them to a tin shack where an individual, Jenkins, sat inside. Id. All of them entered, and the officers purchased cocaine from Jenkins. Id. Soon thereafter, other officers arrived and arrested everyone inside. Id. The appellate court held that there was no evidence that Dawson exercised any control over the drugs. Id. at 637.
