Plas-Tex, Inc. v. U.S. Steel Corp

In Plas-Tex, Inc. v. U.S. Steel Corp., 772 S.W.2d 442 (Tex. 1989), the Court held that reversing a judgment against one defendant does not require reversing a take-nothing judgment for a nonappealing co-defendant unless the rights of the appealing and nonappealing parties are so interwoven or dependent on each other as to require a reversal of the entire judgment. Plas-Tex, 772 S.W.2d at 446. In Plas-Tex, the Court did not reverse the judgment against the nonappealing party because we could effectively remedy the erroneous judgment against the appealing party without doing so. See id.
