Zurich G. A. & L. Ins. Co., Ltd. v. Kinsler

In Zurich G. A. & L. Ins. Co., Ltd. v. Kinsler (1938) 12 Cal.2d 98, the Supreme Court held that an attorney did not violate his professional obligation by demanding a jury trial over the express objection of his client: "It is well established law that the attorney has complete charge and supervision of the procedure that is to be adopted and pursued in the trial of an action; and in accordance with that law, if the attorney wished to have a jury trial he had a right to insist that the trial be so conducted."
