In Blades v. Olivier, 98-1957 (La.App. 1 Cir. 6/25/99), 740 So. 2d 755, the court upheld a $ 15,000 defamation award. Plaintiff had a disagreement with defendant and resigned from her position. She immediately obtained other employment whereupon defendant sent a letter to the three principals of the new employer concerning details of plaintiff's expense and payroll account activities while employed by defendant, including a claim of embezzlement.
