Gentry v. City of Helena

In Gentry v. City of Helena, 237 MT 353, 773 P.2d 309 (1989) the officers had a hearing before the Police Commission which suspended of demoted the officers. The City Manager, without further hearing, modified the decision to a full immediate termination, and such action was upheld by the Supreme Court. The Court stated, "In this case it appears the Commission and the City Manager acted within the powers given them by statute." Gentry at page 363.
