Johnson v. State (2007)

In Johnson v. State, 226 S.W.3d 439, 445 (Tex. Crim. App. 2007), the defendant argued multiple entries into her residence in response to a 9-1-1 call about a possible murder were improper because the exigency had ended. However, the Court of Criminal Appeals held: "the lawfulness of a search is not determined by the number of times that officers cross the threshold. Rather, it is whether the officers are engaged in objectively reasonable conduct under the circumstances." Id.
