Broeckel v. State

In Broeckel v. State, 900 P.2d 1205 (Alaska App. 1995), the Court held that Broeckel's trial counsel was ineffective for not filing an appeal when he knew that Broeckel intended to appeal. The Court held that the failure to file an appeal constituted ineffective assistance of counsel and that Broeckel was "entitled to the appeal of which he was earlier deprived."
