Calista Corporation v. DeYoung

In Calista Corporation v. DeYoung (Ala. 1977) 562 P. 2d 338, 346, the Alaska Supreme Court concluded that the policies underlying Alaska's version of Uniform Commercial Code section 8317 are not applicable where there is no innocent purchaser to protect. Accordingly, the court ruled that "it was unnecessary for there to be actual seizure of the stocks at issue before they could be attached." (Ibid.)
